Bogdan Ionuț Lobonț is a Romanian football coach and former player. He was born on January 18, 1978. Bogdan played as a goalkeeper, which means he was the player who protects the goal. He is currently a technical director at a club called CSM Olimpia Satu Mare.

Bogdan Lobonț played 86 games for the Romanian national team between 1998 and 2018. He even played in two big European football tournaments. People in Romania often called him Pisica, which means "The Cat". This nickname came from his super quick reflexes and because he was a bit smaller than many other goalkeepers.

Playing Career

Early Days at Corvinul Hunedoara

Bogdan Lobonț started playing football when he was 12 years old. He joined his local club, Corvinul Hunedoara, in his hometown. He began playing for the senior team in the 1995–96 season.
