Bolton Landing is a small community in Warren County, New York. It is called a hamlet and a census-designated place (CDP). This means it is a small village that is part of a larger town, and its population is counted for official purposes. Bolton Landing is located right on the beautiful Lake George, surrounded by the Adirondack Mountains.
Many people visit Bolton Landing, especially for its natural beauty. It is very close to the State Park lands and islands in the narrow parts of Lake George. A famous building here is The Sagamore Hotel, which is a grand old hotel from the Victorian era that has been updated. The community also has four public beaches, some of which are next to public docks where boats can stop.

History
The community of Bolton Landing was started in 1799. Two important places in Bolton Landing are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This is a special list of buildings, sites, and objects that are important in American history. The listed places are the Marcella Sembrich Opera Museum and Sagamore Hotel Complex.
Geography
Bolton Landing is about ten miles north of Lake George village. It sits on the west side of Lake George, within the larger town of Bolton. The closest big city is Glens Falls, which is south of Lake George village. You can reach Bolton Landing by driving on New York Route 9N, a main road that goes through the community.

Bolton Landing has a lively culture with different events and famous artists.
Barbershop Quartet Festival
For 14 years, Bolton Landing hosted the Barbershop Quartet Festival. This event brought harmony singers and visitors from all over the world. It was even shown on TV, including a special in Japan. The festival was most popular in 1999. Hundreds of barbershop fans came to Bolton Landing for the yearly Labor Day competitions. Andy Pratt, who grew up in Bolton, started the festival, which ended in 2002.
Marcella Sembrich Opera Museum
The Marcella Sembrich Opera Museum is located on the shore of Lake George. It honors Marcella Sembrich (1858–1935), a famous Polish singer. She was known for her beautiful opera performances. Sembrich sang more than 450 times at the New York Metropolitan Opera. Her summer home by the lake became a museum in 1937. It is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Music and Arts
Since 1989, the Bolton Recreation Commission has held free summer concerts. These concerts take place in Roger's Memorial Park. Matt Finley, a musician who lives in Bolton during the summer, often performs with his band, Rio JAZZ.
Since 2005, Bolton Landing has been home to the Lake George Theater Lab. This theater group focuses on creating new American plays. Bolton Landing was also where sculptor David Smith lived and worked. He created many of his famous sculptures here. Smith was introduced to the area by Wilhelmina Weber Furlong. She was an early American modernist painter who helped start the modern art movement in Bolton Landing.
