Watercourse Borer's Creek

Borer's Falls is a beautiful 15-meter (about 50-foot) tall waterfall located in the Borer's Falls Conservation Area. You can find it near Dundas, which is part of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The water for the falls comes from a stream called Borer's Creek. It's a very scenic spot, often seen on postcards of Hamilton's waterfalls.

The waterfall is named after the Borer family, who operated a sawmill here for over 100 years. This mill was very important to the nearby village of Rock Chapel. Because of this, Borer's Falls is also sometimes called Rock Chapel Falls.

Lower Borer's Falls

You can reach Borer's Falls from the Dundas section of the Bruce Trail. You can also get there directly from the Borer's Falls Conservation Area.

Driving Directions

If you're driving, here's how to get to Borer's Falls:

  • Take the QEW west.
  • Follow it to Highway 403.
  • Stay on Highway 403 until you reach Highway 6 in Flamborough.
  • Go north on Highway 6.
  • Turn left onto Highway 5 (also known as Dundas Street).
  • Finally, turn left onto Rock Chapel Road.
