Borger-Odoorn is a municipality in the northeastern part of the Netherlands. It is located in the province of Drenthe. A municipality is like a local government area, similar to a county or district.

This area is famous for its ancient history. The local Hunebedcentrum Borger has several megaliths. These are very old stone structures, also known as 'hunebeds'. They were built by people from the Funnelbeaker culture. This culture lived here during the Stone Age, thousands of years ago. At the center, you can also see copies of old houses from that time.
