The Bouie River is part of a bigger system. Its water eventually flows into the Pascagoula River. From there, it travels all the way to the Gulf of Mexico.
Where Does the Bouie River Flow?
The Bouie River starts in the southern part of Simpson County. It begins its journey there.
From its start, the river generally flows towards the southeast. It travels through Jefferson Davis and Covington Counties. For a bit, it even forms the border between these two counties.
Finally, the Bouie River reaches northwestern Forrest County. This is where it joins the Leaf River near the city of Hattiesburg.
