Bouquet is a town located in the Belgrano Department of Santa Fe Province, Argentina. It is about 192 kilometers (119 miles) away from Santa Fe, which is the capital city of the province.
The Story of Bouquet
Bouquet started to grow in the early 1900s. In 1908, the government decided to build a railway line. This line would connect the town of Las Rosas to the area where Bouquet is now.
Work on the railway began in 1910. A small town was planned right next to the new railway station. The station officially opened on September 19, 1910.
The town was organized by its founders: Otto Bantle, Victorio De Lorenzi, and Augusto Schanck. They hired an engineer named Benno Jorge Schanck to help plan the town's layout.
On September 12, 1912, the name "Bouquet" was chosen for the station and the town. It was named after Carlos María Bouquet, a former senator. His daughter was married to President José Figueroa Alcorta.
Today, Bouquet is connected to the RN 9 Rosario-Córdoba Highway. You can reach it using Provincial Route RP 65.
