Bradley Paul Johnson (born 28 April 1987) is an English former professional footballer. He played as a central midfielder for many different teams over 20 years.
Johnson played for clubs like Waltham Forest, Cambridge United, Northampton Town, Leeds United, Norwich City, Derby County, Blackburn Rovers, and Milton Keynes Dons. He also played on loan for Gravesend & Northfleet and Stevenage Borough. He finished his career as a player-coach for Derby County's under-21 team.

Early Life and Football Dreams
Bradley Johnson was born in Hackney, London. As a child, he loved motorcycles. He started his football journey at Arsenal, which was his favorite team growing up. However, he left the club when he was 15 years old.
Bradley Johnson's Club Career
Starting Out in Football
After leaving Arsenal, Bradley played a few games for Waltham Forest F.C.. Then, he joined the youth team at Cambridge United. He soon moved to Northampton Town in May 2005.
While at Northampton, he went on loan to two other teams: Gravesend & Northfleet and Stevenage Borough. He became a key player for Northampton Town and signed a new contract. Many bigger clubs started to notice his talent.
Playing for Leeds United

In January 2008, Johnson joined Leeds United. He signed a three-and-a-half-year deal. He played his first game for Leeds on January 14, 2008. He scored his first goal for the club in March.
Later, he went on loan to Brighton & Hove Albion for a short time. He scored two goals in his very first game for Brighton! After scoring four goals in 10 matches, he returned to Leeds United. He helped Leeds reach the play-off semi-finals.
In November 2010, Johnson decided not to sign a new contract with Leeds. He was linked with Premier League clubs like Bolton Wanderers and Stoke City. In January 2011, he scored an amazing goal against Arsenal in an FA Cup match. This goal was later named Leeds' "Goal of the Season."
Success at Norwich City
On July 1, 2011, Bradley Johnson joined Norwich City on a three-year deal. He made his debut in Norwich's first home game of the Premier League season. He scored his first goal for Norwich in September 2011 with a great header.
His second season with Norwich was very successful. He played regularly and was a strong player. He was voted 3rd for the "Player of the Season" by the fans. In the 2013–14 season, he had a fantastic game against Tottenham, earning the "Man of the Match" award.
The 2014–15 season was one of his best. He was made vice-captain and played in almost all league matches. He scored fifteen goals, making him the second-highest scorer for the team. He was also voted the fans' "Player of the Year." His goals helped Norwich beat Fulham 4–2. He also played a key role in Norwich winning the play-off final against Middlesbrough 2–0, which meant Norwich was promoted back to the Premier League!
Moving to Derby County
On September 1, 2015, Johnson signed for Derby County for a club record fee. He scored his first goal for Derby on September 26, 2015. On November 26, 2016, he scored against his old club, Norwich City, helping Derby win 1–0.
Time at Blackburn Rovers
Johnson joined Blackburn Rovers in July 2019. On September 26, 2020, he scored two goals against his former team, Derby County, in a 4–0 win. He left Blackburn Rovers at the end of the 2021–22 season.
Playing for Milton Keynes Dons
On July 15, 2022, Johnson joined Milton Keynes Dons. He made his debut on July 30, 2022. On August 16, 2022, he scored two goals in a game, setting a new record as the club's oldest ever goalscorer at 35 years and 111 days old! He later broke his own record.
Returning to Derby County
On July 18, 2023, Bradley Johnson went back to Derby County. This time, he joined as a player-coach for their under-21 team. He played in six games during the 2023–24 season.
Retirement from Football
Bradley Johnson announced he was retiring from professional football on April 26, 2024. He played for 20 years and made over 600 appearances in his career.
