Branch is a small city in Franklin County, Arkansas, United States. It is part of the larger Fort Smith area. In 2010, about 367 people lived there. By 2020, the population was 296.
Where is Branch?
Branch is located in the southwest part of Franklin County. It's where two main roads, Highway 22 and Highway 41, meet. Highway 22 goes east to Caulksville and west to Charleston, each about 5 miles (8 km) away. Highway 41 leads north to Cecil (about 10 miles or 16 km) and south to Booneville (about 14 miles or 23 km). The bigger city of Fort Smith is about 28 miles (45 km) to the west.
Branch covers an area of about 3.5 square miles (9.2 square kilometers), and it's all land.
