Bream is a small, unincorporated community located in Kanawha County, West Virginia, United States. An unincorporated community is a place that doesn't have its own local government, like a city or town. Instead, it's usually managed by the county.
Bream is found along Indian Creek Road (which is also called County Route 49). It's the first community you reach after State Route 114 crosses the Elk River towards Big Chimney. You can find Bream situated between two other communities, Milliken and Pinch. Because it's quite small, Bream is sometimes left off maps.
What's in a Name? The Story of Bream
The community of Bream got its name from a person! It was named after a young man named Bream Graham. His father owned a mine in the local area.
