Brent is a small community in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma, United States. It is located south of the town of Sallisaw. Brent is considered a census-designated place (CDP), which means it's an area identified by the U.S. Census Bureau for statistical purposes. It is part of the larger Fort Smith, Arkansas-Oklahoma Metropolitan Statistical Area.
In 2020, the population of Brent was 760 people. A post office was open in Brent from May 6, 1896, until May 31, 1929. The community was named after the Brent Ferry, which operated on the nearby Arkansas River.
