Brian David Outram Anderson is a very important Australian scientist. He was born on January 15, 1941. He is a professor at the Australian National University. Professor Anderson studies how different systems work together. This includes things like electrical circuits and how signals are processed.

He also works on how groups of robots or computer programs can work together. This is called "distributed control of multi-agent systems." He also studies how to find the exact location of sensors in a network. From 1998 to 2002, Professor Anderson was the President of the Australian Academy of Science.
