Early Life and High School Football
Brian C. Smith grew up in Overland Park, Kansas. He was born there on January 8, 1989. Brian went to St. Thomas Aquinas High School. He was a star player on their football team.
In his junior year, he made 100 tackles. He also had one interception and caused three fumbles. As a senior, Brian had 126 tackles and nine sacks. This earned him honors from the Kansas City Star newspaper. Experts at Rivals.com rated him highly. They said he was the 13th best inside linebacker in the country. He was also the second-best player in Kansas for his class of 2007.
College Career at Notre Dame
Brian Smith played college football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He was part of the team from 2007 to 2010.
