Bristol is a small, quiet place in Prowers County, Colorado, United States. It's known as an unincorporated community. This means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Instead, it's managed by the county. Even though Bristol has its own name, its mail now goes through the U.S. Post Office in nearby Holly.
History of Bristol
Bristol was officially started in 1906. It was named after a person named C. H. Bristol, who worked for the railroad. The community's own Post Office opened its doors on July 1, 1908. It served the people of Bristol for many years. However, the Bristol Post Office eventually closed on November 2, 1997.
