Hércules de Brito Ruas, known simply as Brito, was a famous Brazilian football player. He was born on August 9, 1939, in Rio de Janeiro. Brito played as a strong central defender for many different clubs. He also played for the Brazilian national team.

Brito played for several important football clubs in Brazil during his career. He spent many years with Vasco da Gama, where he became well-known. He also played for other big teams like Flamengo and Botafogo.
In 1975, Brito even played football outside of Brazil. He joined a team called Montreal Castors in the National Soccer League in Canada.

Brito was a key player for the Brazilian national team. He played in 45 games for his country between 1964 and 1972.
