Bryshear Barnett "Brock" Davis (born October 19, 1943) is a former American Major League Baseball player. He was an outfielder, which means he played in the part of the baseball field farthest from home plate. His professional baseball career lasted for 13 seasons, from 1963 to 1975.

Early Life and Education
Brock Davis was born in Oakland, California. He grew up and went to John C. Fremont High School in Los Angeles. After high school, he continued his education at California State University, Los Angeles.
While in high school, Brock Davis played baseball with several other talented players. These friends also went on to become professional baseball players. Some of them included Leon McFadden, Willie Crawford, Bobby Tolan, and Bob Watson.
Brock Davis was a left-handed player. This means he threw the ball with his left hand and batted (hit the ball) from the left side. He was about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed around 165 pounds.
Baseball Career Highlights
Brock Davis made his first appearance in Major League Baseball (MLB) when he was just 19 years old. This happened on April 9, 1963, with the Houston Colt .45s. He played in 34 games during that 1963 season. One special game was on September 27, 1963, when all nine of the Colt .45s starting players were rookies, just like him!
After 1963, Brock Davis didn't play much in the major leagues for a few years. He returned to play more regularly in 1971. That year, he joined the Chicago Cubs.
Moving to the Brewers
On December 3, 1971, Brock Davis was part of a trade. He, along with Jim Colborn and Earl Stephenson, moved from the Cubs to the Milwaukee Brewers. In return, the Cubs received outfielder José Cardenal.
In 1972, Davis had a good season with the Brewers. He batted for a .318 average, which is quite high. He played in a "utility role," meaning he could play different positions when needed. His last game in the major leagues was on October 4, 1972.
