History of Brockway Township
Brockway Township was officially created in the year 1848.
Communities in Brockway Township
Brockway Township is home to a couple of smaller communities:
- Brockway is a small, unincorporated community. This means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or village. It's found in the southeastern part of the township. Here, two main roads, M-19 and M-136, meet.
- Canova is another unincorporated community. It started as a town for lumber workers in 1866. Canova even had its own post office for a few years, from 1876 to 1883.
