Brokaw was a small village in Marathon County, Wisconsin, United States. It was part of the Wausau, Wisconsin area. In 2010, about 251 people lived there. Brokaw officially joined with the village of Maine, Wisconsin on October 1, 2018. This means it is no longer a separate village.

Brokaw is found at 45°1′42″N 89°39′23″W / 45.02833°N 89.65639°W. This location is in central Wisconsin.
The village covered a total area of about 1.23 square miles (3.19 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 1.07 square miles (2.77 square kilometers), was land. The rest, about 0.16 square miles (0.41 square kilometers), was water.

The Story of Brokaw
Brokaw started to grow in the early 1900s. In the 1880s, a company called the Wausau Boom Company built a dam on the Wisconsin River. This dam was near where the village is now.
The Village of Brokaw was officially formed in 1903. It grew around the Wausau Paper Mills. The village was named after Norman Brokaw, who owned the paper company.
Famous People from Brokaw
- Red Smith: He was a professional baseball and football player. He also coached football teams like the Georgetown Hoyas and Wisconsin Badgers football team. Later, he became an athletic director at Seton Hall University.
