Bromus grandis, also known as tall brome grass, is a type of brome grass. It's a plant that grows tall and is found in certain parts of North America.
What is Tall Brome Grass?
Tall brome grass is a plant that lives for many years. It grows in clumps, like a bunch of grass stems together. This type of grass can grow quite tall, up to about 5 feet (1.5 meters) high!
Its leaves are a bit hairy. The plant also has special flower clusters called inflorescences. These are open and hold fuzzy, flat seed heads called spikelets.
Tall brome grass is related to another grass called Bromus orcuttianus. Both of these grasses grow in the same areas.
Where Does Tall Brome Grass Grow?
This grass is originally from California in the United States and Baja California in Mexico. You can find it growing in many different places there. It lives in various habitats, from thick forests to areas with coastal scrub plants near the ocean.
