Personal Life

Gabriel Brown was born in Orlando, Florida. His family was in the military, so he moved around a lot as a child. This is sometimes called being a "Navy brat." He lived in Seattle, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Atlanta. He moved back to Orlando after his parents divorced.

As a teenager, TV shows helped him feel more comfortable with who he was. Today, Bronze Avery lives in Los Angeles and is proud to be a member of the LGBT+ community.

Music Career

Bronze Avery is a pop musician. When he first started, he released an EP called American Dream (2015) under his real name, Gabriel Brown. He changed his professional name to Bronze Avery because there were many other artists named Gabriel Brown.

Musical Style and Themes

At the beginning of his career, Avery didn't write about his personal life in his songs. Now, his music often includes themes about his experiences as an LGBT+ person. The first song he released as Bronze Avery was called "Pressure."

A tragic event that happened in his hometown of Orlando influenced him deeply as a musician. In 2019, Avery performed at the Los Angeles Pride festival.

Albums and Singles

In 2019, Avery released a music video for his single "Want 2." In an interview with Billboard magazine, he said that he sees himself as a pop artist, not a rhythm and blues artist. In June 2019, he also released the single "Spilling Out" with a music video.

On June 13, 2024, Avery released his second album, Heatwave. The album features upbeat electronic pop music. The songs are about his life and experiences. Avery said the album is a "collection of summer songs made to make you sweat."

Artistry and Influences

Avery's biggest musical influence is the musician Charli XCX. He is also inspired by many other performers. These include The Pussycat Dolls, Nelly Furtado, Tove Lo, Banks, and Lana Del Rey.

He was also influenced by Gwen Stefani's first album, Love. Angel. Music. Baby.. Some of his early LGBT+ role models were George Michael and Simon Curtis.
