History of Brook
The town of Brook was officially started in 1866. However, a post office, which helps send mail, had been open in the area since 1859.
A special building called the George Ade House was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. This means it is an important historical place.
Where is Brook?
Brook is in the northwestern part of Indiana. You can find it along State Route 16. It is about 6 miles (about 10 kilometers) west of Interstate 65, a major highway.
The town covers a total area of about 0.67 square miles (1.74 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 98.51%, is land. A small part, about 1.49%, is water.
