Brooke Peris is an Australian field hockey star. She was born on 16 January 1993. Brooke played as a forward for the Hockeyroos, which is Australia's national women's field hockey team. In 2014, she was named "Northern Territory Sportsperson of the Year" for her amazing skills and dedication.

Brooke Peris grew up in Darwin, Australia. She comes from a family of talented athletes. Her first cousin, Nova Peris, was also a national field hockey player and later became an Australian senator.

Playing for Australia

Brooke started playing for the Australian national team in 2013. Her first international game was in Perth against South Korea.

She represented Australia at three different Olympic Games:

Brooke was also a co-captain of the Hockeyroos from 2021 to 2024. This shows how much her teammates and coaches trusted her leadership.

On 28 October 2024, Brooke Peris announced she was retiring from international hockey. She ended her career with 214 national caps (games played) and 40 goals for Australia.
