Brunhilde Pomsel (born January 11, 1911 – died January 27, 2017) was a German secretary. She is best known for being a personal secretary to Joseph Goebbels. He was the Minister of Propaganda for Nazi Germany.

She started working at the ministry's offices in Berlin in 1942. In 2014, when she was 103 years old, she gave interviews for a documentary film called A German Life. She said that she "knew nothing" about the terrible things happening during that time. The film was released in 2016, when she was 105.

Pomsel was born in Berlin in 1911. Her first two jobs were with Jewish employers. She worked at a Jewish-owned clothing store. Then she worked for a lawyer and insurance agent named Dr. Hugo Goldberg.

In 1933, she joined the Nazi Party. She then got a job in the news department of a government radio station. In 1942, she moved to the Reich Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda. There, she worked for Joseph Goebbels as a stenographer. A stenographer is someone who writes down what people say very quickly. She worked there until the end of World War II in 1945.

After the war ended in 1945, Pomsel was held by the Soviet NKVD. She was kept in three different camps until 1950. These camps included Buchenwald and Sachsenhausen.

She was set free from the camp in 1950. She then moved to West Germany. There, she worked as a secretary for state broadcasters. She worked for Südwestfunk and then ARD. She retired from her job in 1971.

On her 100th birthday in 2011, she spoke publicly about Goebbels. She shared her thoughts on him. A documentary called A German Life was made from her interviews. It was shown at Filmfest München in 2016. A play with the same name was also performed in London in 2019.

Pomsel lived in Munich-Schwabing towards the end of her life. She passed away there on January 27, 2017. She was 106 years old.
