Brynjar Leifsson (born September 11, 1990) is a musician from Iceland. He is famous for being the lead guitarist of the popular Icelandic band Of Monsters and Men.
About Brynjar Leifsson
Brynjar grew up in Keflavík, a town in southwest Iceland. He has a brother who is a pilot. Brynjar is in a relationship with Ragnhildur Gunnarsdóttir. She is also a musician and tours with Of Monsters and Men. They have a son together.
Brynjar and Of Monsters and Men
Brynjar joined a music project called Songbird in 2009. This project was started by Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir. Soon, other musicians like Ragnar Þórhallsson joined the group. They entered a music competition in Iceland in 2010. The band won the competition, and they decided to call themselves Of Monsters and Men. In 2011, they released their first album, My Head Is an Animal. This album became very popular around the world. After their first big success, the band released their second album, Beneath the Skin, in 2015. Their third album, Fever Dream, came out in 2019. Brynjar is still the lead guitarist for Of Monsters and Men.
