Brytni Sarpy was born in California on September 21, 1987. Her parents are Mel and Kim Sarpy. She grew up in Sherman Oaks and went to high school in Upland.

After high school, Brytni went to the University of California, Santa Barbara. She graduated in 2008 with a degree in Fine Arts. While trying to become an actress, she worked different jobs. She was a bartender and a personal trainer. She also did modeling for sports brands.

Becoming an Actress

Brytni started her acting career in theater plays. People praised her acting skills in these shows. She is also a trained dancer. Today, she lives in Los Angeles and has agents who help her find acting and modeling jobs.

She has appeared in commercials for big companies like Nike and AT&T. In 2010, Brytni acted in the movie You Again with Jamie Lee Curtis.

Brytni joined the TV show General Hospital as Valerie Spencer in 2015. In 2016, her role on the show became less frequent. In 2017, she was in the movie Truth or Dare. In 2019, she got a main role as Elena Dawson on The Young and the Restless. She also had a role on The Haves and the Have Nots.

Outside of Acting

Brytni's parents separated when she was about six years old. Her father mostly raised her. She is very close to her father, who has Parkinson's disease. She has a younger half-brother named Aiden. She also has two other half-brothers and a half-sister from her mother's side.

In 2012, Brytni got a rescue dog named Charlie. She is also a pescatarian, which means she eats fish but not other meat. Brytni has spoken about her mental health, including anxiety and depression. She shared her experiences on World Mental Health Day in 2018.
