Isaac "Bud" Stallworth (born January 18, 1950) is a retired American basketball player. He was a talented shooting guard and small forward who played college basketball at the University of Kansas. He later had a professional career in the NBA.

Who is Bud Stallworth?
Bud Stallworth was born in Hartselle, Alabama. He grew up to be 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighed 190 pounds. He was a star player at the University of Kansas (KU) from 1969 to 1972.
College Basketball Star
During his time at KU, Bud became a very important player. In 1972, he was named the Big Eight Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year. This award goes to the best player in the conference. He was also chosen as a First-team All-Big Eight player twice.
One of his most amazing games happened in 1972. Bud scored an incredible 50 points in a single game against the Missouri team! This showed how skilled he was at scoring. Because of his great achievements, the University of Kansas retired his No. 15 jersey. This means no other player at KU will ever wear that number again.
Playing in the NBA
After his successful college career, Bud Stallworth was ready for the professional leagues. In the 1972 NBA draft, he was picked 7th overall by the Seattle SuperSonics. He was also chosen by the Denver Rockets in the ABA Draft that same year.
Professional Career
Bud played for the Seattle SuperSonics for two seasons. After that, he moved to the New Orleans Jazz in 1974. He played for the Jazz for three more seasons. His career in the NBA lasted from 1972 to 1977.
Unfortunately, Bud's playing career ended earlier than expected. He suffered a back injury in 1977, which made it impossible for him to continue playing professional basketball.
Life After Basketball
Even after his basketball career ended, Bud Stallworth continued his education. In 1978, he graduated from the University of Kansas. He earned a bachelor's degree in social work.
