Where Does the Name Come From?

The park is named after a hill called Bullock Hill. This hill is 188 meters tall and is inside the park. The name "Bullock Hill" was officially approved on March 11, 1997. As of 2018, the park covers an area of 2.21 square kilometers.

Plants and Animals You Might See

Before the park was officially created, a brochure described its natural features. It has a forest with pink gum and cup gum trees. Below these trees, you can find many types of acacia plants. On the eastern side of the park, there is a grassland. This grassland has scattered blue gum trees.

The park is also home to different animals. You might spot Western grey kangaroos hopping around. Many bird species live here too. These include red wattlebirds, rainbow bee-eaters, brown-headed honeyeaters, black-faced cuckoo-shrikes, and grey shrike-thrushes.
