Burlington is a small town located in Carroll County, Indiana, United States. It's part of the Lafayette Metropolitan Area. In 2020, about 517 people lived here. You can reach Burlington by State Road 22, which connects it to Kokomo.

History of Burlington
Burlington was started in 1832 by a man named David Stipp. He worked for the government's land office. Settlers had already started moving to the area about a year before. Mr. Stipp even gave land for the town's very first school building.
The town was officially made a town (incorporated) in 1967. Burlington gets its name from a Wyandot Chief named Burlington.
Michigan Road's Impact
In 1830, work began on the Michigan Road. This important road went right through the middle of Burlington. It was Indiana's first major highway, connecting Madison, Indiana in the south to Michigan City, Indiana in the north. This made Burlington a busy place for travelers and trade.

Burlington is located in Indiana. According to the 2010 census, the town covers about 0.6 square miles (1.58 square kilometers) of land. There is no water area within the town limits.
