Butte Creek Canyon is a small community in Butte County, California. It is an "unincorporated community," which means it's not an official city or town. It's also a "census-designated place" (CDP), which is an area defined by the government just for counting people.
This community sits at 1,024 feet (312 meters) high in the Sierra Nevada foothills. In 2010, about 1,086 people lived here. Sadly, a large wildfire called the Camp Fire caused a lot of damage to the area in November 2018.
