Byers is a community in Colorado, United States. It's not an official city or town with its own government. Instead, it's called an "unincorporated town" and a "census-designated place" (CDP). This means it's a special area defined by the government for counting people during the census.
Byers is located in Arapahoe County and is part of the larger Denver metropolitan area. The local post office uses the ZIP Code 80103. In 2020, about 1,322 people lived in Byers.

Byers History
The Byers Post Office first opened in 1873. The community was named after William Byers, who was a very important person in Colorado's early days. He was the first newspaper editor in the state.
Byers is divided into two main parts. There's a busy area known as Downtown Byers. There's also a more historic part called Historic Uptown Byers.
Byers Geography
The Byers CDP covers an area of about 31 square kilometers (or about 12 square miles). Most of this area is land, but about 1.36 square kilometers (or 0.52 square miles) is water.
Byers Climate and Weather
Byers has a type of weather called a cold semi-arid climate. This means it's generally dry, but not a desert, and it can get quite cold. On climate maps, this is often shown as "BSk."
