Clay Martin Croker (born January 10, 1962 – died September 17, 2016) was an American animator and voice actor. He was known as C. Martin Croker. He was famous for giving voices to characters like Dr. Weird, Zorak, and Moltar. These characters were on the animated TV show Space Ghost Coast to Coast. He took over these roles from other actors who voiced them in the 1960s Space Ghost series.

Career in Animation and Voice Acting

Croker started his work in animation in 1988. He helped create the Laser Show at Stone Mountain.

In the early 1990s, Croker animated many short ads called "TNT Toons" for TNT. He also helped animate and design short clips called bumpers for Cartoon Network in 1998. These bumpers are short videos shown between TV shows or commercials. Croker also worked on many commercials that featured famous cartoon characters.

Croker is most famous for voicing Zorak and Moltar. He did this for the Space Ghost Coast to Coast show. This show was on Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and GameTap from 1994 to 2008. He was also the main animator for the show. It was his idea to make Zorak and Moltar Space Ghost's helpers.

He also voiced Zorak on Cartoon Planet and The Brak Show. From 1997 to 1999, he voiced Moltar as the host of Toonami.

Croker was an animator for Aqua Teen Hunger Force. He also worked on its movie, Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters, in 2007. For these, he voiced Dr. Weird, Steve, and many other characters. He also voiced Young Man and other characters in Perfect Hair Forever.

His Passing and Tributes

On September 17, 2016, Croker suddenly became unwell. He passed away at 54 years old.

Adult Swim honored him by showing the first Space Ghost Coast to Coast episode again. This was on September 19, 2016. Before the episode, they talked about Croker's work. They also showed words from his character Zorak: "Think of me when you look to the night sky." At the end of the episode, a screen showed "C. Martin Croker [1962-2016]".

His friends and co-workers, like George Lowe and Andy Merrill, shared tributes online. Adult Swim also made almost all Space Ghost Coast to Coast episodes free to watch online to honor him.

On September 24, 2016, Toonami also honored Croker. In a special part of the show, T.O.M. got a message from Moltar. Moltar said he was going back to his home planet and would not return. T.O.M. wished Moltar good luck. Then, an image of Croker was shown with his birth and death years.
