Caio Castro was born in Praia Grande, a city on the coast of São Paulo, Brazil. When he was 18, Caio moved from his parents' home in São Paulo to live in Rio de Janeiro. He was discovered during a contest on a TV show called Caldeirão do Huck. Before becoming an actor, Caio worked with event production. His acting career officially began in 2008.
