Calwalla is a small village located in the beautiful Southern Highlands area of New South Wales, Australia. It is part of the Wingecarribee Shire local government area. A village is a small community, often smaller than a town.
Getting Around Calwalla
For many years, Calwalla had its own train station. This station was part of the Unanderra–Moss Vale railway line. Train lines help people and goods travel between different places.
The Railway Station
The Calwalla train station first opened in 1932. It helped people living in the village travel to nearby towns. It also helped connect Calwalla to other parts of the region.
However, the station later closed in 1976. Over time, the building was taken down. Today, there is very little left to show where the station once stood.
