Camila Bordonaba Roldán, born on September 4, 1984, is an actress, singer, and theater director from Argentina. She is famous for her roles in popular TV shows like Chiquititas and Rebelde Way. Camila was also a member of the pop-rock band Erreway. She sang alongside Felipe Colombo, Benjamín Rojas, and Luisana Lopilato in the band.

About Camila Bordonaba

Camila was born in El Palomar, Buenos Aires, a town in Buenos Aires province, Argentina. Her father, Juan Carlos Bordonaba, worked as a grocer. Her mother, Nora Roldán, was a podiatrist. Camila has two older siblings, a sister named Melina and a brother named Rodrigo.

Camila's Acting and Music Career

Early Start in Television

Camila started her television journey very early, at just three years old. In 1987, she joined the musical TV show Canta Niño. Her older sister, Melina, was also part of the cast. Camila sang with "La banda de Canta Niño" and also performed some songs by herself. She even sang in different languages like Portuguese and Italian. When she was eight, Camila began taking acting lessons. Before that, she practiced rhythmic gymnastics and took part in competitions.

Becoming a Star in Chiquititas

At twelve, Camila started her acting career in the children's TV show Chiquititas. This show was created by Cris Morena. Camila was one of the actresses who stayed in the cast for a long time, from 1996 to 2001. During these years, she also performed in the Chiquititas theater shows. In 2001, she acted in her first movie, Chiquititas: Rincón de luz.

Rebelde Way and the Band Erreway

In 2002 and 2003, Camila starred in the teen series Rebelde Way. She acted alongside Benjamín Rojas, Luisana Lopilato, and Felipe Colombo. This show was also created by Cris Morena. At the same time, Camila joined the music band Erreway with her co-stars. They released their first album, Señales.

The TV show and the band became very popular. Erreway went on the "Señales Tour" to perform songs from their album across Argentina. They also had many concerts for Rebelde Way, el show, including a big final concert. In 2003, Erreway released their second album, Tiempo. They then started the "Nuestro Tiempo" tour. The band even traveled to Israel and performed eighteen concerts there.

Movies and New TV Roles

In 2004, Camila filmed her second movie, Erreway: 4 caminos. This movie came with Erreway's last album, Memoria. After this, Erreway went on their final tour, and the group decided to take a break. That same year, Camila played a villain in the TV show Floricienta. She appeared as Paloma/Julieta Mónaco.

In 2005, Camila got her first main role as an adult. She played Sisí Ponte in the TV show El Patrón de la Vereda with actor Gustavo Bermúdez. She also sang the theme song for the show. Camila made a special appearance as a judge in the series ¿Quién es el jefe?. In 2006, she was part of the cast of Gladiadores de Pompeya.

Erreway's Success in Spain

After Rebelde Way became popular in Spain, Erreway's music also gained many fans. In 2006, two new albums were released in Spain: The Rebelde Way album and Erreway In Concert. Because of their success, the albums Señales and Tiempo were also released there. In July, Felipe Colombo and Camila traveled to Spain to meet with record companies and the press. In December, they reunited for a "European Tour" with sold-out concerts in several Spanish cities.

In 2007, Camila played Karina in the TV show Son de Fierro. This show became very successful. Erreway started recording a new album called Vuelvo without Luisana. This album was planned to be released only in Spain. However, the new Spanish tour and the album Vuelvo were later canceled.

At the end of 2008, the series Atracción x4 premiered. In this show, Camila worked with Luisana Lopilato again. Camila played Malena Lacalle, a member of the group "Latinas". This TV show ended in 2009.

Later Projects and New Beginnings

In 2010, Camila starred in the horror film Penumbra. She played Victoria, a client interested in an apartment. In 2012, she released a new song called "Solo me salva amar". This was with her new band, "La Miss Tijuana", formed with Felipe Colombo and Guillermo Lorenzo. Another song, "Vuelvo", was released in July.

Since 2010, Camila has stepped away from the spotlight. In 2011, she focused on her project called Arcoyrá. She traveled around the country in a caravan with her art space. This way of life, including sleeping in fields, caught the attention of the media. She also directed a play called Una noche en el castillo.

Camila's Personal Life

Camila Bordonaba is the godmother of Felipe Colombo's daughter. Felipe Colombo was her bandmate in Erreway and is a close friend. She also dated Benjamín Rojas from 1998 to 2000.
