Camille Thomasina Schrier (born June 30, 1995) is an American pageant winner. She became Miss Virginia 2019 on June 22, 2019. Later, on December 19, 2019, she was crowned Miss America 2020 in Uncasville, Connecticut.
In May 2020, the Miss America competition for 2021 was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of this, the Miss America organization announced that Camille would serve an extra year. Her time as Miss America was supposed to end in December 2020.

About Camille Schrier
Camille Schrier was born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Her parents are Thomas and Cheryl Schrier. She has one older brother or sister. As a child, Camille was diagnosed with a health condition called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. During the Miss America 2020 competition, she also shared that she overcame some health challenges as a teenager.
Camille's Education Journey
Camille graduated with high honors from the Hun School of Princeton in 2013. In high school, she was a talented athlete. She played track and field, swam, and played field hockey.
She first attended the University of Michigan. Then, she transferred to Virginia Tech for her third year. In 2018, she graduated with two science degrees. One was in biochemistry and the other in systems biology. She also studied chemistry. At Virginia Tech, she was part of the Kappa Delta sorority.
Camille was accepted into the VCU School of Pharmacy. She finished her first year of a special doctor's program there. This was before she won the Miss Virginia title. In 2024, Camille earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from VCU School of Pharmacy.
Camille's Pageant Career

Camille started competing in pageants when she was 14 years old. Pageants are competitions where people show their talents and skills.
Early Pageant Success
She won the title of National American Miss (NAM) Pennsylvania Teen in 2012. In the national competition that same year, she placed as the first runner-up. This means she was almost the winner.
Becoming Miss Virginia 2019
On June 22, 2019, Camille competed as Miss Dominion 2019. This was at the Miss Virginia 2019 pageant in Lynchburg, Virginia. She had not competed in pageants for six years before this.
For the talent part of the competition, she did a science demonstration. She showed how hydrogen peroxide breaks down quickly. This is also known as "elephant toothpaste." After the pageant, she was crowned Miss Virginia 2019. She took a year off from pharmacy school to do her duties as Miss Virginia.
Winning Miss America 2020
Camille represented Virginia at the Miss America 2020 competition. It was held at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut. This happened on December 19, 2019. Her special cause was "Mind Your Meds: Drug Safety and Abuse Prevention from Pediatrics to Geriatrics." This focused on teaching people about safe medicine use.
She won the Miss America 2020 title. She was crowned by Miss America 2019, Nia Franklin. Along with the title, Camille also won a $50,000 scholarship. She also received a $2,000 scholarship for winning the preliminary talent competition. Camille was the fourth Miss Virginia to win the Miss America title.
Camille's time as Miss America was supposed to end in December 2020. However, the 2021 competition was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This meant she served as Miss America for an extended period.
