Camp Lakebottom is an exciting Canadian animated TV show. It was made by 9 Story Media Group. The series first aired in Canada on Teletoon on July 4, 2013. It then came to the United States on Disney XD on July 13, 2013.
You can watch Camp Lakebottom on Disney Channels in many parts of the world. It also airs on ABC in Australia. The show ran for three seasons, ending on July 24, 2017. The catchy theme song was performed by Terry Tompkins and Scott McCord.

What is Camp Lakebottom About?
The story follows three 12-year-old kids: McGee, Gretchen, and Squirt. They accidentally get on the wrong bus for summer camp. Instead of a normal camp, they end up at a strange place called Camp Lakebottom!
This camp is full of weird and wonderful creatures. The kids have all sorts of wild adventures there. They also try to protect their new camp from McGee's rival, Jordan Buttsquat. Buttsquat runs a fancy camp nearby called Camp Sunny Smiles.

The Campers
- McGee (voiced by Scott McCord): McGee is a 12-year-old who loves adventure. He often acts before thinking, which gets him and his friends into trouble. But his quick mind usually helps them find a way out! He loves Camp Lakebottom's fun and strange happenings. McGee thinks he's a prank master, but his pranks are often a bit silly. His main rival is Buttsquat.
- Gretchen (voiced by Melissa Altro): Gretchen is a tough and sarcastic girl. She's a tomboy and has a black belt in karate. She doesn't like it when things are unfair. While she seems tough, she secretly wishes she could be a normal girl. Her catchphrase is "Ya think?!" when McGee states the obvious. She is very scared of chipmunks! Her rival is Suzi.
- Squirt (voiced by Darren Frost): Squirt is McGee's best friend. He's always cheerful and friendly to everyone, even monsters! He has made friends with almost every creature at Camp Lakebottom. Sometimes his kindness helps with monsters. But his lack of smarts can make him easy to control. For example, a giant leech once mind-controlled him.
The Counselors
- Sawyer (voiced by Cliff Saunders): Sawyer is a friendly Zombie and one of the camp counselors. He has a chainsaw instead of a left hand! His head and limbs often fall off, but he can put them back on. Sawyer is kind and acts like a grandfather to the campers. He's also the camp's handyman and invents strange things.
- Armand (voiced by Adrian Truss): Armand is a sasquatch who loves acting. He's another camp counselor. Armand is usually very calm and kind. But if he gets angry, things can get dangerous! He also has a huge weakness for marshmallows. If he's near them, he goes into a wild, hungry rage.
- Rosebud (voiced by Jonathan Wilson): Rosebud is the camp's cook and the third counselor. She's a short, strict woman with a German accent. She's very proud of her cooking, but her meals are often inedible and even dangerous! Squirt is the only one who seems to enjoy her food. Rosebud used to be a monster hunter before she found her love for cooking.
The Rivals
- Jordan Buttsquat (voiced by Carter Hayden): Buttsquat is the spoiled son of the owner of Camp Sunny Smiles. This is Camp Lakebottom's rival camp. He is McGee's main enemy. Buttsquat often tries to ruin Camp Lakebottom or show off his fancy gadgets. But McGee always outsmarts him. He often says, "I will have revenge!"
- Suzi (voiced by Bryn McAuley): Suzi is McGee's older sister. She's a pageant queen and became queen of Camp Sunny Smiles. She is Gretchen's rival because she once beat Gretchen in a beauty pageant. Suzi likes Buttsquat and sometimes helps him with his plans. She calls McGee "Baby Bruv." Even though they bicker, they care about each other.
Other Characters
- Slimey: Slimey is a giant, octopus-like creature who lives in the lake. He appears often in the show. At first, he scared the campers, but they soon learned he just wanted to play! He became good friends with them, especially Squirt. Slimey often helps the campers during their adventures in the lake. We usually only see his tentacles, so his full body is a mystery.

The kids often have to deal with Buttsquat, a rich and spoiled boy from the fancy Camp Sunny Smiles across the lake. He tries to make Camp Lakebottom look bad, but his plans usually backfire in funny ways.
