Bryn McAuley is a talented Canadian actress. She is famous for using her voice to bring many cartoon characters to life! You might know her as Caillou from the TV show Caillou, Anne Shirley in Anne of Green Gables: The Animated Series, or Laney Penn in Grojband. She has also voiced characters like Mavis Dracula in Hotel Transylvania: The Series and Amy and Samey in Total Drama: Pahkitew Island.
Early Life and Beginnings
Bryn McAuley started acting when she was just a child. She appeared in Canadian movies alongside other young actors like Michael Cera.
She grew up in Toronto, Canada, where she still lives today. Bryn went to Vaughan Road Academy, a school where other famous people like the musician Drake also studied. In 2010, she helped start a group called YEAA (Young Emerging Actors Assembly). This group helps young actors in Toronto who are just starting their careers. Bryn also studied at Ryerson University (now called Toronto Metropolitan University) from 2011 to 2015.
Voice Acting Career
Bryn's acting journey began when she was only four years old. She quickly joined an agency and started getting different roles. But it was her voice acting that really made her well-known. In 1997, she landed the role of Caillou, a very popular cartoon character.
Since then, Bryn has voiced many other memorable characters. Some of her most famous roles include Gina Lash in Angela Anaconda, Becky Lopez in George Shrinks, and Laney Penn in Grojband. She has said that two of her favorite characters to voice were Quills in Numb Chucks and the twin cheerleaders Amy and Samey in Total Drama: Pahkitew Island.
Bryn also voiced Mavis in the animated TV show Hotel Transylvania: The Series, which you can watch on Disney Channel. Besides voice acting, she has also performed in plays, like Claire from the Bus in 2013.
