Story of Hotel Transylvania: The Series
This TV series takes place four years before the first CGI movie. It follows Mavis and her best friends as they have exciting adventures at the hotel. This happens while Dracula, Mavis's dad, is away on important vampire business.
Meet the Characters
Main Characters
- Mavis Dracula (voiced by Bryn McAuley) is the main character. She is 114 years old and loves to have fun with her friends. Mavis is very curious and her playful spirit often gets her into trouble. This usually happens with her Aunt Lydia. Mavis turns 115 in the first season finale and gets her own special family cape.
- Wendy Blob (voiced by Evany Rosen) is a green blob of goo. She is the daughter of Mr. Blob and one of Mavis's best friends.
- Hank N. Stein (voiced by Gage Munroe) is the teenage son of Frankenstein and Eunice. He is also one of Mavis's best friends. It's revealed that Hank has some Dracula family history, making him and Mavis distant cousins.
- Pedro (voiced by Joseph Motiki) is a teenage mummy who looks a bit like Murray from the movies. He is one of Mavis's friends. Pedro loves to eat, sleep, and rap. His hero is the Sandman. He learns how to properly use mummy curses in one episode.
- Aunt Lydia Dracula (voiced by Dan Chameroy) is Dracula's older sister and Mavis's aunt. She likes things to be orderly and traditional at the hotel. This often clashes with Mavis and her friends wanting to have fun. Her real name is revealed in an episode called "The Naming of the Shew."
- Diana (voiced by Richard Binsley) is Aunt Lydia's pet chicken. She used to be a human woman. Diana acts as Lydia's spy, watching everything that happens in the hotel. We don't know what she looked like as a human yet.
- Jonathan (voiced by Noah Reid) is a human boy who Mavis likes.
Other Important Characters
- Count "Drac" Dracula (voiced by David Berni in season one, Ivan Sherry in season two) is Mavis's dad. He is very protective of her. In the series, he is away on "official vampire business" with the Vampire Council. His older sister, Lydia, takes charge of the hotel until he returns. In the Season 2 finale, he decides to stay at the hotel for good. He feels there are more dangers in the Underworld that need his attention.
- Frank N. Stein (voiced by Paul Braunstein) is Hank N. Stein's father and Eunice's husband.
- Uncle Gene Dracula (voiced by Patrick McKenna) is Mavis's uncle and Dracula's younger brother. He loves playing video games and uses a special wheelchair.
- Quasimodo (voiced by Scott McCord) is the chef at Hotel Transylvania.
- Donald and Kitty Cartwright (voiced by Ryan Belleville and Linda Kash) are a human couple. They live near Hotel Transylvania with their young daughter. Donald is a fun but not-so-smart dad. Kitty is a very protective mom who tries to keep monsters away from her house. She even has a high-tech security system!
- Klaus (voiced by Carter Hayden) is Mavis's first cousin. He always tries to be better than Mavis at everything. However, he struggles with turning into a bat, which is a natural vampire ability. He finally learns it in an episode. Klaus is not very popular with his uncle and other vampires, who find him annoying.
