Habenaria tridactylites is a special kind of flower called an orchid. It's also known as the Canary Three-finger Orchid. This plant is part of the Orchidaceae family. It only grows naturally in the Canary Islands. A scientist named John Lindley first described it in 1835.

The Habenaria tridactylites is an orchid that grows in the ground. Its flowers have unique parts. The top parts of the flower form a shape like a small "helmet." The lowest petal of the flower is called the lip. This lip is deeply split into three very long, finger-like sections. Each flower also has a long, tube-like part called a spur.
