Jakob Kasimir Hellrigl (born July 27, 1992), who is better known as Candy Ken, is an Austrian rapper, model, and TikToker. He became known for his music and unique style in 2014.
At first, he was famous for mixing traditionally masculine looks with colorful, feminine pop culture styles. Since 2022, he has changed his style to a more patriotic and ultra-masculine look. He is also well-known for his TikTok videos, where he often shows his lifestyle.

Early Life and School
Hellrigl was born in Bregenz, Austria, on July 27, 1992. He has Ashkenazi Jewish heritage from his mother's side but identifies as Catholic. For one year, he went to Wenatchee High School in Wenatchee, Washington, where he played on the football team. He said that two of his best friends from high school, Isabella and Payton, inspired him to start a music career.
Later, he studied photography and film design at the Lette-Verein college in Berlin, Germany. He left his studies in 2014 to focus on his creative projects.
Career in Music and Fashion
Creating the Candy Ken Style
While he was in college, Hellrigl created his famous character, Candy Ken. This style involved mixing different ideas. He often used images from Hello Kitty, Japanese Kawaii (cute) culture, and Barbie dolls. He was known for wearing a lot of pink clothing.
He first shared his work in a 2014 YouTube video series he directed called Welcome to Candy Land. The music for the series was produced by Lets Go Radio.
Music Releases
The video series Welcome to Candy Land was later made into a short film. This film won an award at the Austrian short film festival Alpinale in 2015. In September 2015, he released his second EP, Candy Ken Paradise. In November of that year, he released a third EP called Daddy ..., which had five songs and five videos.
In June 2016, Candy Ken released his first album, Real Talk. It featured twelve songs, and ten of them were collaborations with the rapper Gigi Tays. He has said that the American rapper Riff Raff was a major influence on this album. In April 2018, Candy Ken appeared on the TV show Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
Modeling Career
Candy Ken's modeling career began in 2015. The creative designer for the Diesel brand, Nicola Formichetti, noticed him on Instagram. Formichetti invited him to a photo shoot for the Japanese magazine FREE.
After that, he was hired as a model for the Italian clothing brand Diesel during Pride Week in New York City. He also walked the runway for designer Roberto Piqueras in Berlin and for Japanese designer Michiko Koshino. He has appeared in photo shoots for magazines like VMAN, Paper, Vogue Taiwan, and the Korean version of Dazed.
