Canyonleigh is a small place located in the beautiful Southern Highlands region of New South Wales, Australia. It's part of the Wingecarribee Shire.
The name "Canyonleigh" has an interesting story! It was first called Canyan Leigh. A lady named Mrs. Jane Murray owned land here, between two places called Paddys River and Long Swamp. Her property looked out over a deep valley. This view gave her the idea for the name "Canyan," which is another way to say "canyon" – a steep, narrow valley.

Canyonleigh is a small community. In 2016, there were 398 people living there. By the 2021 census, the population had grown slightly to 455 people.
