Capshaw's Story: A Look Back
How Capshaw Got Its Name
This community was named after some of its very first settlers, David and William Capshaw. David Capshaw (who lived from 1779 to 1839) raised a big family right there in the area.
The Post Office
A post office was first opened in Capshaw in the early 1900s. This helped the community connect with other places by mail.
