Carl Anthony Payne II (born May 24, 1969) is an American actor. He is well-known for playing Cole Brown on the TV show Martin and Walter "Cockroach" Bradley on The Cosby Show. He has also appeared in other popular series like Rock Me Baby, George Lopez, and Tyler Perry's Young Dylan.
Early Life: How Carl Started Acting
Carl Payne began his acting journey at a young age. He learned acting at the First All Children's Theater, which was a special theater company that performed plays off-Broadway in New York City. He went on to graduate from the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, a famous school for arts. Later, he continued his studies at Howard University.

Carl Payne is most famous for his roles in two big TV shows. He played Cole Brown, a main character, on the Fox sitcom Martin. He was also a recurring character, Walter "Cockroach" Bradley, who was Theo Huxtable's best friend on the NBC sitcom The Cosby Show.
