Rockmond Dunbar is an American actor born on January 11, 1973. He is famous for playing many different characters on TV shows. Some of his well-known roles include Baines in the series Earth 2 and Kenny Chadway in the family drama Soul Food. He also played Benjamin Miles "C-Note" Franklin in the crime drama Prison Break.
Rockmond Dunbar has also appeared as Sheriff Eli Roosevelt in Sons of Anarchy. Later, he joined The Mentalist as FBI Agent Dennis Abbott. He was also FBI Agent Abe Gaines in The Path and Michael Grant in 9-1-1.

Rockmond Dunbar was born in Oakland, California. He went to Oakland Technical High School. After high school, he studied at Morehouse College. He also attended the College of Santa Fe and the University of New Mexico. These schools helped him prepare for his acting career.

Rockmond Dunbar became well-known for his main role as Kenny Chadway in the TV series Soul Food. He also got a regular part as Benjamin Miles "C-Note" Franklin in Prison Break. In 2007, Dunbar starred in a medical drama called Heartland.
He also made a special guest appearance on Noah's Arc. He helped the main character, Noah, with ideas for his movie. Dunbar also had a repeating role in the show Girlfriends. He was also known for playing "Pookie" in The Game. He was a regular on the show Terriers too.
Dunbar has made guest appearances in many other TV shows. These include Earth 2, Felicity, and The Pretender. He also appeared in Two Guys and a Girl and North Shore.

Rockmond Dunbar was married to Ivy Holmes from 2003 to 2006. On December 30, 2012, he got engaged to Maya Gilbert. She is also an actress. They got engaged in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Dunbar is a member of the Church of Universal Wisdom. This church believes in avoiding medical treatments that might cause illness.
Through DNA analysis, it was found that Dunbar's family comes mostly from the Yoruba people of Nigeria. When he visited Nigeria, he was given the Yoruba name Omobowale. This name means "our son has come home."
