Carlos Aguilar, born on May 25, 1988, is an American soccer player. He is now an assistant coach at San Diego State University.

Carlos Aguilar's Soccer Journey
Playing in College
Carlos went to Palmdale High School. He played college soccer for two years at Taft College. In 2007, he scored two goals to help his team win the California Collegiate State Soccer Championship!
Later, he moved to the University of California, Irvine for his junior year. In his final year there, he scored six goals and helped set up seven others. He was even named to the All-Big West Conference First Team, which is a big honor!
While playing in college, Carlos also played for amateur teams. He played with the Lancaster Rattlers and Bakersfield Brigade. These teams were part of the USL Premier Development League.
Becoming a Professional Player
After college, Carlos was not chosen in the draft, but he still signed with the Rochester Rhinos in February 2010. He played his first professional game on April 10, 2010. This was the Rhinos' first game of the season against Miami FC.
Carlos played in two more games during his first professional season. He was not on the Rochester team roster in 2011. After that, he went back to California. He then played for Los Angeles Blues 23 in the USL Premier Development League.
Coaching Career
After his playing career, Carlos became a soccer coach. From 2011 to 2014, he was an assistant coach for the UC Irvine Anteaters.
Then, from 2014 to 2019, he worked as an assistant coach for the Cal State Fullerton Titans. Since 2020, Carlos has been an assistant coach for the San Diego State Aztecs.
