You might know him from shows like Nurses, where he played Paco Ortíz, or The Brothers García, where he was Ray García, the dad of the family.

Early Life and Moving Around
Carlos Lacámara was born in Havana, Cuba. In 1960, his family moved to Washington, D.C. because of the Cuban Revolution. After that, they lived in Puerto Rico for a while. Later, they moved to California, which is where he lives now. He went to college at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Acting Career
Carlos Lacámara started his acting career in 1983 on the TV show Family Ties. For a long time, he often played characters like waiters or valets. But later, he started getting different kinds of roles.
He became well-known for playing Paco Ortíz on the sitcom Nurses. After Nurses ended, he also played Ray García, the family dad, on The Brothers García. On The Brothers García, he worked again with Ada Maris, who was also on Nurses.
Writing Plays and Musicals
Besides acting, Carlos Lacámara is also a talented writer. He writes plays and musicals.
In 2006, his play called Nowhere on the Border won a big award from a theater company in New York. The play was performed in New York in 2007. His second play, Havana Bourgeois, also won a contest and was performed in New York, Los Angeles, and Coral Gables, Florida.
Carlos also helped write a musical called "Cuba Libre." This musical first opened in Portland, Oregon, in October 2015. It's a big show with 21 actors, dancers, and musicians, and it features music from the famous band Tiempo Libre.
