Carlos Vicente Tenorio Medina is a well-known retired Ecuadorian footballer. He was born on May 14, 1979. Carlos played as a forward, which means he was usually at the front of the team, trying to score goals. He was also a key player for the Ecuador national team from 2001 to 2009.

Carlos Tenorio's Club Journey
Carlos Tenorio started his professional football career with LDU Quito, a club in Ecuador. In 2001, he helped his team get promoted to the top league, called Serie A, by scoring 11 goals. Two years later, in 2003, he helped LDU Quito win the Serie A title, which was a big achievement.
After playing in Ecuador, Carlos moved to Saudi Arabia. He joined a club called Al Nassr for one season. There, he scored an impressive 15 goals in just 16 games. This showed how good he was at scoring!
From 2003 to 2009, Carlos played for Al-Sadd in Qatar. This was a very successful time for him. He helped Al-Sadd win the Qatar Stars League title three times. After his time in Qatar, he moved to the United Arab Emirates to play for Al-Nasr.
In 2012, Carlos Tenorio returned to South America. He played for several clubs there, including Vasco da Gama in Brazil. He also played for Bolívar in Bolivia, where his team finished at the top of the league in the 2014–15 season. He later returned to LDU Quito for one season in 2016.
Playing for His Country
Carlos Tenorio proudly represented his home country, Ecuador, in the biggest football tournament in the world: the FIFA World Cup. He played in two World Cups, first in 2002 and then again in 2006.
The 2006 World Cup was a special one for Carlos and Ecuador. He scored important goals against Poland and Costa Rica. These goals helped Ecuador move forward in the tournament, reaching the second round for the first time in their history.
