Caroline Calvé (born in 1978) is a fantastic Canadian snowboarder. When she was a child, she loved Skiing and later became a coach and instructor. At 21, she started snowboarding and began training for the Olympic Games.

Caroline Calvé's Snowboarding Journey

Caroline Calvé made her mark in the world of snowboarding. She competed in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. There, she took part in the women's parallel giant slalom event.

Big Wins and Breakthroughs

After finishing 20th at the Olympics, Caroline's career really took off. In December 2011, she won a gold medal in Carezza, Italy. This was for the women's parallel giant slalom. She became the first Canadian woman to win a Snowboard Alpine World Cup event!

The next year, she continued her success. She won a silver medal at the 2011 Giant Slalom World Cup. In 2013, she placed 4th in an event in Rogla, Slovenia. She ended that season by finishing 3rd overall in the World Cup standings for Parallel Slalom.

Caroline Calvé is not just a great athlete. She also proudly represents her Indigenous heritage. Her great-grandmother on her father's side was from the Algonquin people.
