Early Life and Education
Carrie Ann Baade was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. She grew up in a small town in central Colorado. After high school, she went to The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1997.
During her studies, she spent a year in Italy. There, she learned painting techniques from old masters at the Florence Academy of Art. Later, in 2003, she earned her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Delaware.
