Carrollwood is a community in Hillsborough County, Florida, in the United States. It is known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it is an area that looks like a town but isn't officially governed as one.
Carrollwood includes the areas of Carrollwood and Carrollwood Village. In 2020, about 34,352 people lived here. This area has been called different names over the years. In 2000, it was known as "Greater Carrollwood." Before that, in the 1970s and 1980s, it was called "Lake Carroll."
