Scott Thompson (born February 25, 1965), known by his stage name Carrot Top, is a famous American stand-up comedian and actor. He is very well-known for using many different objects, called "props," in his comedy shows.

Early Life
Scott Thompson was born in Rockledge, Florida, and grew up in Cocoa. His dad was an engineer for NASA. Scott went to Cocoa High School where he played the drums in the band. He finished high school in 1983.
He got his funny nickname, "Carrot Top," from a swimming coach. This was because of his bright red hair, which later became one of his most famous features! After high school, he went to Florida Atlantic University. It was there, as a freshman, that he first tried stand-up comedy.
Becoming a Comedian
Carrot Top got his big break in 1991 when he performed on a TV show called Comic Strip Live. Around that time, he also appeared on Star Search, a popular talent show.
He became famous for his unique style of comedy, which involves using many different props. During his shows, he pulls out various objects from large trunks on stage. He then tells a quick, funny joke about each prop before tossing it aside. His shows often end with him lip-syncing to a mix of songs.
Carrot Top on TV and Stage
Carrot Top has been on many TV shows and in movies. From 1995 to 1999, he was the voice for Cartoon Network, and he even had his own morning show called Carrot Top's AM Mayhem.
He has appeared on popular TV shows like Scrubs, George Lopez, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He also showed up in episodes of animated shows like Family Guy and Robot Chicken. He was a guest judge on Last Comic Standing, a show where comedians compete.
Since 2005, Carrot Top has been performing his comedy show regularly in Las Vegas, Nevada. He has a special show at the Luxor Hotel, where he performs for audiences almost every night.
Online Appearances
Carrot Top has also appeared on many popular online shows. He was a guest on Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis and Tom Green's House Tonight. In 2022, he was a guest on "The Joe Rogan Experience" podcast. More recently, in 2023, he appeared on the YouTube show Good Mythical Morning with Rhett and Link.
